Business/Data Analyst

Washington, DC - Full Time

We have an opportunity for a Data Analyst to join our talented Professional Services team. The successful candidate will work with customers and the engagement team to support the project management, project data analysis, process improvement, data conversion and integration needs of our customers.

Responsibilities include: understanding and analyzing customer requirements, relating them to the COTS software features, performing data curation in COTS software, defining and documenting processes for use with the software solutions, assisting in the configuration, testing and user training of COTS software.

Typical duties include:

  • Requirement analysis and documentation
  • Assisting in the definition and design of improved business processes and workflow
  • Customer data support including project data analysis and data curation.
  • Assisting in test and QA process - Developing test plans for acceptance testing to ensure the solution meets customer requirements and lead/execute acceptance testing with customer stakeholders
  • Training the customer on the use of the COTS software solutions - Building training curriculum and materials and leading customer training sessions
  • Assisting in the Application roll-out and ongoing user support
  • Participating in company development activities including supporting marketing, proposal, thought leadership, and recruiting efforts

Desired Skills:

  • A BA/BS degree in the related field
  • Experience working in the Federal Government
  • Developed problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Experience with process and workflow modeling and business process engineering
  • Hand-on business analysis experience in an IT/IS environment
  • Must have the ability to work well with clients to determine implementation requirements, and execute a plan to meet those requirements in a timely and efficient manner. 
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent presentation & communication skills in both oral and written form
  • This position requires a blend of both functional and technical skills to succeed.  Some background with software development or COTS implementation is a plus.  
  • Working knowledge of Oracle Project Portfolio Management (OPPM)/ProSight and Primavera P6 (8.0 and higher) is a plus.
  • Genuine desire to learn is essential. 
  • US Citizenship is required.

This position is located in the Washington DC metro region.
